Annie Bartlett

Professor Annie Bartlett is a Reader in Forensic Psychiatry. She holds an MA in English and a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge, as well as being a qualified doctor specialising in Forensic Psychiatry.

Professor Bartlett has published research in the field of forensic mental health. Her main research interests include social exclusion and mental health with particular reference to women and sexual orientation.

Her key publications include - British Psychiatry and Homosexuality in the British Journal of Psychiatry

 

Jeremy Gavins

Jeremy Gavins went through a type of conversion therapy in the 1970s which involved physical intervention when he was in school. He talks about the everlasting suffering he has had to face in his life due to this therapy that has changed his life forever.

 

Jeremy Marks

Born and raised in a conservative and religious household, Jeremy was torn between his sexuality and religion. So he turned to try and pray the gay away and tried to help others do the same in a safe space but quickly saw the dangers and risks associated with the attempted cure.

Matt Mahmood-Ogston

Matt set up the Naz and Matt Foundation after his parter, Naz, committed suicide two days after he unwillingly came out to his parents. They suggested therapy and after this Matt set up the foundation in hope to stop people doing the same.
